Western Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine, is one of the oldest forms of medicine used to nurture and restore the body. It is a gentle approach that is suitable for adults, children and babies.

Medical herbalists use fresh and dried plants which may be prepared in the form of teas, tinctures for internal consumption  or used topically in oils and creams. The main aim of Western herbal medicine is to treat the whole person, tailoring a medicinal formulation to each individual's needs.

Frances is a member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy. She has a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine and has been trained to take a detailed client case history and will if relevant, will prescribe a medicinal formulation and discuss lifestyle and nutritional advice.

Frances' particular interests are menopause and executive stress although clients seek advice for many different reasons including migraine, digestive disorders, urinary and skin conditions, allergies, menstrual problems and muscular and joint pain.
